Welcome to the website of Otter Wrought Iron Products - we are a family business and leading designers and manufacturers of weathervanes in the UK. We are based on the Essex/Suffolk border, in the market town of Halstead and we have been in business since 1976. We currently have around 1000 exclusive designs which we use for weathervanes, house signs and hanging basket brackets. We make our weathervanes in three sizes to cater for everything from a garden shed to a two storey house - and we will custom-make larger sizes for churches and mansions.

This is a very comprehensive site - we have tried to cover everything you need to know, which includes designs, sizes, fixings, prices, optional extras, material specifications, finishes. We believe we give much more information about our product than any of our competitors, but if all that results in "information overload" then please pick up the phone and speak to us on 01787 475060 8am-4pm Monday-Friday or leave a message on our answerphone and we will get back to you.

When browsing this site, you will notice a letter, J-V, by the design. This indicates the Price Band and you will need to make a note of this before proceeding to the order page or price list. Any weathervane can be hand coloured by our artist- painting costs vary according to the complexity and degree of accuracy required. If a design is not illustrated as a painted version, that means we haven’t done it yet - but please enquire for a cost.

You can place an order on-line, using our secure server. We accept Visa, Maestro, Electron & Solo cards, but not American Express.
