FIXINGS FOR OTTER WEATHERVANES
The choice is yours. Weathervane prices include one of the fixing options detailed below.
Fixing Brackets
A fixing bracket is included in the price of our weathervanes. Below are the available
options -

1) GABLE END FIXING -
This is the most common type of fixing we supply -
Medium gable bracket. 
Large gable bracket
2) RIDGE FIXING -
Place over the ridge board, in between 2 ridge tiles. The standard bracket is made
for 1" ridge -
3) POST FIXING -
Use for fixing to a flat horizontal surface, such as the top of a post or cross bar of pergola. The base plate has 4 x 7/32" dia (med size vane) or 9/32" dia (large size vane) fixing holes. The plate is 70mm square.
4) CLOCKTOWER FIXING -
Use on a clocktower, or where the roof comes to a point. There is 12” above the roof-
5) SIDEPLATE FIXING -
Use to attach to upright of pergola or any other side-
Fixing Options for Petite size weathervanes
1) An L shaped bracket with a 2” stand-
2) 2” long woodscrew to screw directly in to a post or finial

By far the most popular fixing arangement for medium or large weathervanes is Gable end.
